Kickstands were up at 9:30 AM on Saturday when 8 scooters, including 2 Piaggio MP3s, headed south from Portland to cross the 3 ferries on the Willamette River. Scooter displacement ranged form 250 cc – 500cc. There were 9 riders with one of the MP3s riding two-up.
The ride was 206 miles and was completed in about 6 hours including a rest stop at Willamette Mission state park, a lunch stop in Jefferson and a fuel stop in Silverton, Oregon. At the fuel stop a member from Salem, Cory, who was not participating in the ride joined in for a short hop to Mt. Angel. There were portions for the ride that were at high speed.
The weather was fantastic and over all it was a great ride. Mike Meacham took lots of pictures, and we look forward to seeing them soon. Rick Fletcher lead the ride and Dave Seeley was the sweep rider.
