On a beautiful afternoon 12 scooter and 13 riders participated in the Bald Peak and Two Rivers Ride. The smallest scooter was a Piaggio 150 and the largest was a BV 500 (Arjen – there is another BV 500 lurking in the OSC – your bike is no linger an orphan). There were 2 non-OSC members on the ride.
A couple of the riders had not participated in a ride that met up at Holman’s restaurant and did not know about the pato behind Holman’s. You can general find the OSC on the patio.
The ride left Holman’s promptly at noon with 9 scooters and 10 riders (one scooter was riding 2 up). We picked up 3 more scooters at the west side meet up location. Rick Fletcher led the ride and David Seeley managed the west side meet up and rode sweep. We covered 76 miles and top speeds were 45 MPH (okay, the ride leader slipped up and got up to 55 MPH for a few minutes). Our next 45 MPH ride is on August 2, 2009 to the Oregon Steam up.
Check out the events tab for details. OSC members – Check out our OSC members only Swift Reservoir Ride on July 12 for an outstanding ride opportunity.
