Melody Anderson Ride Report - Salem to Gates

This ride was originally scheduled for Oct. 3rd, but only two members were able to make it. So we re-scheduled the ride for Oct 10th. We had five members, one gentleman and four ladies! Ralph said he was going to have to work in order to get more men on the Valley Chapter rides! As far as the scoots go, we had a Honda Helix 250, a SYM RV250, a Kymco People 250, a brand new Piaggio BV 500 Tourer for Kathy, and a Honda Silverwing. Melody Anderson McKenzie Pass - Ride Report

On Saturday, 8-29-09, the OSC Valley Chapter led a ride over the Mckenzie Pass. We met at Salem Harley/Vespa, and left at 10:30 am with Kathy Smith in the lead. We had 2 members join us from the Portland area, 3 from the Salem area, and met one member near Albany. We had 6 scooterists total (3 male and 3 female) - a Vespa GTS 250, a Piaggio BV 250, a Piaggio MP3, (2) SYM RV250's, and a Suzuki Burgman 400. OSC Admin OSC Spring Overnighter Ride Report

It was a small group but an ambitious couple of riders who headed out the last weekend in May, 2009 for the OSC Spring Overnighter. As indicated in the ride description the destination was selected at the pre-ride meeting. At 9:30 AM it was kickstands up as 2 riders, both on Burgman 400 scooters headed for loop around Washington’s Olympic Peninsula. OSC Admin Want more OSC activities and rides outside of the Portland area? This new OSC Chapter may be for you.

There are lots of great scooter rides in the valley and we want to take advantage of the 2009 scooter season. Join us to link up with other OSC members this Saturday for the inaugural meeting of the OSC Mid-Valley Chapter. OSC Admin New Sunday Meetup Location

We are trying out a new meetup location for the Sunday rides. It will be at Holman's Restaurant at 15 SE 28th Ave just south of Burnside at 11am. They have plenty of seating and a full breakfast menu! They also have parking available in their lot just south of the building and on the street out front. We spoke to the staff and they were more than happy to welcome the business. You may want to arrive a little earlier if you are a slow eater! Thanks, OSC Continue

OSC Admin Sunday, July 6: OSC Grist Mill ride

The Oregon Scooter Club's monthly ride is this Sunday, July 6. Meet-up location: Hip Drip Cafe (inside the EcoMotion dealership at 1625 NE Sandy Boulevard) Meet-up time: 11 AM (ride leaves at 12 PM sharp) This will be one of our longer rides, between 80 and 90 miles.
