- Hmm, there are so many choices out there and you don't have to spend a lot for a really safe helmet. A DOT and SNELL certified full-face helmet would be excellent. As for size....I suppose it depends on the likely passenger as to whether a small or medium would be better. Cycle Gear in Montavilla is really helpful and carries a good variety of helmets. Online try newenough.com for great prices on close-out styles and other very servicable gear (I paid a LOT less for my helmet and some full zip winter pants through them.
