After 5+ years of planning to take the Team Oregon Basic Rider course and get my motorcycle endorsement, the time has finnaly come, and I get to go through with my whole family too... Mom and Dad decided to join me, and get thier endorsements (or in dads case, get his back after not renewing it) Will be great to be able to ride as a family (once they get bikes)
This will be the 3rd kind of vehicle I've learned to drive, from learning to drive cars, to then driving a manual transmission, learning to drive semi-trucks, and doing that for a few years, now to ride bikes... after many years of ridding bicycles, I'm happy to be able to now have the same joy as being on the bicycle, without the pedalling, and with higher speeds, and longer distances, to be out in the open smelling the breeze, and having a great view, without goint up hills at 5mph dying from the heat and heart pounding from the work :)

If they are, Kathy and I are going to meet at the Dairy Queen on 25th and Mission St. We are going to leave at 11:00, and take some back roads around Turner, Aumsville, Stayton, Lyons, and gates. We will be scouting out a ride for later this month.
If you have plans for Labor Day, or this is too short of a notice, don't even worry about it. We came up with a plan at the last minute, and thought that if anyone else would like to come, that would be fine with us.
No need to reply, just meet at the Dairy Queen at 11:00 with gas tanks full. And hopefully the weather will be kind to us.
Happy Labor Day, and maybe we'll see you there!
