Ride Report - Salem to Gates

This ride was originally scheduled for Oct. 3rd, but only two members were able to make it. So we re-scheduled the ride for Oct 10th.

We had five members, one gentleman and four ladies! Ralph said he was going to have to work in order to get more men on the Valley Chapter rides! As far as the scoots go, we had a Honda Helix 250, a SYM RV250, a Kymco People 250, a brand new Piaggio BV 500 Tourer for Kathy, and a Honda Silverwing.

We started our ride from the Dairy Queen parking lot at 25th St.… Continue

OSC Valley Chapter Meet and Greet report

On August 15, 2009 we had an OSC Valley Meet and Greet, at Boones Treasury, 888 Liberty Rd NE in Salem. The weather was beautiful, and we had our meeting out on the patio. They have inside accomodations as well, but the patio was beautiful. They even have standing fireplaces that they light in the evening!

Eleven were in attendance, including four officers and two spouses. Four members traveled down from the Portland area, and 5 members were from the Valley chapter. We talked alot about the Rai… Continue

Me too! I am looking forward to some organized rides. I could not make it to the 4-peak ride, as I had a schedule conflict, but I hope to make in next year.

Lightnin' is a beautiful bike! I just did my tire valve stem replacement (hopefully you won't have to worry about doing it) and changed the oil / coolant this weekend.

Take care,

Brent

Thanks Melody!

I finally got through most of the PDI on my bike (it took a few weeks) and I have been getting in a quick ride almost every evening when I get home.

I look forward to getting a chance to partake in a club ride. I am still completing work on the bike prior to committing her to any real riding though. I still need to finish the cooling system flush, adjusting the valves, and replacing the tire stems...

Talk to you soon,

Brent
