Your scoot will do just fine on most club rides. For longer rides out in the country, the club sometimes indicates that smaller scooters won't work (like the Astoria ride), or splits the group up into a faster group and a slower group ...
I live in Lake O and work in Vancouver. I ride to work about twice a week if the weather seems ok. My ride to work is a mix of city and freeway. If I am feeling up, I'll blast down 205 back home thru West Linn.

My Dad was killed on a scooter yesterday 11-2
Hi all. The headline says it all. While we were out riding yesterday, my Dad was out as well down in Santa Cruz CA. I am so terribly sad. We were very close.

Amerivespa 2009 Update
I have inside information on the dates for Amerivespa 2009 in San Jose CA. I have been sworn to secrecy though so I can't post the information here. Those sending me a personal message or email might just learn something if they promise to keep the info to themselves.

I will be there would be good ride with you again, and meet your wife.
My ankle.. ya well remember how I am a newer ride…and maybe not the brightest bulb in the bunch. ANY way at the last ride (the Choo Choo scoot) I was taking a left hand turn from a stop, I turned into it a little bit to much and it made my bike fall into the corner. Well instead of just hitting the throttle and having the bike pop back up on its own… I crammed my inside foot down as I hit the throttle, any my foot caught, and bent back under the bike.
I did not lay down the bike, but I did manage to stress just about every ligament in my foot. I saw my normal doc yesterday and he said it will be fine, I just have a lot of swelling around the Achilles tendon and some other stuff (funky names, sounded impressive). Long story short.. ya I am a dumb ass.

I agree it was a blast. I am all for riding again. Thanks for letting me tag along, the ride was MUCH better than just jumping on the freeway. The more I ride the more I love it, I am all for riding again sometime.
