Oregon Scooter Raid 2012 Rides

At Oregon Scooter Raid 2012 we offer rides to accommodate all skill and interest levels.   Choose from 7 rides ranging from 57 miles to 294 miles.  Select one of guided featured rides or team up with other OSC members and choose one of the self guided rides.  Rides generally leave around 10:30 AM. 

There will be featured rides on both Saturday and Sunday.  A featured ride has support similar to our monthly rides and will be lead by an OSC Ride Sergeant and have a sweep rider to assure your comfort.  Everyone is welcome to participate in a featured ride.  Ride maps are below.  We will have computer on site to upload rides maps to GPS units.  Click here for all seven ride maps in Map Source (Zumo) Format and here for GPX Exchange Format.  Google Maps /iPhone links are below each individual ride

Saturday August 4, 2012 Featured Ride

The Ghost Town Ride, 179 Miles

We wind our way around central Oregon passing through several ghost towns with a 45-minute exploration stop at Shaniko, the finest ghost town in Oregon.  We will stop for lunch in Maupin.  Be sure to pack your picnic lunch from our build your own sandwich bar before leaving the Raid site.

Sunday August 5, 2012 Featured Rides

Five Views Ride, 117 miles & Cascade Lakes Ride, 244 Miles

Choose between two outstanding rides on Sunday.

The Five Views Ride is a casual ride that visits five view points all within a 30 mile radius of Raid.  Sites include: Round Butte Dam Overlook, Ogden Scenic View Point, Cline Falls Scenic View Point, Smith Rock State Park, and Tethrow Crossing.

The Short Line Ride, 57 miles - A quick trip visiting the Round Butte Dam Overlook.
