First of all, I would like to thank Jim and Peggy, you were both so kind and welcoming!! Always concerned that everyone was taken care of from a place to sleep to full bellies to entertainment! It was all greatly appreciated!! Thanks to Bob for his pre and post tie down on all our bikes and kayaks! Thanks to Melody and her great leading! James for his sweeping! And everyone else for just being your wonderful selves that make it such a GREAT club!! Love ya'll!!

Peggy and Jim hope your little piece of heaven stays safe.  Thank you for hosting such a wonderful weekend.  Great rides, wonderful friends new and old, fun times in the hot tub and lake and yummy food and beautiful location.

While the storm was very exciting to watch, I hope Peggy and Jim are ok.  I didn't know that any fires were started in Three Rivers.  Take care and be safe you guys.

For those of you that we're there for the storm, the fire started up the next morning.

They evacuated half of Three Rivers.

Mel!  You are a GREAT ride LEADER!  You kept your cool under stressful conditions (figuratively, that is)

You are so correct that the ride to and from was a true adventure. I have never ridden so far before and it taught me so much.  I am still digesting it all.  And Leigh: I agree with you 100percent.  A finer group of people you will never meet.

I don't think I have met a finer group of people! It was great to spend the weekend at Peggy and Jim's with the scooter club. First of all, the hard work that was put in to ensuring we all had full bellies and a nice place to sleep did not go unnoticed! The view was fantastic; the ride exciting, eventful and  I learned tons; the water fine and I really enjoyed visiting and getting to know everyone. One thing I noticed instantly, was how everyone pitched in the minute it was known something was wrong. There was no hesitation. I think I had 10 hands working on my side mirrors all at once and woola!, the electrical tape and stick worked all day long, even in the heat! Well, it was just a great weekend....Thank you everyone!

Boy, where to begin?

Raid at Peggy and Jim's place was absolutely fantastic! The ride to and from Raid was an adventure all it's own. Then we had fantastic accomodations, a wonderful ride to the ghost town Shaniko, great food, fun in the lake, and absolutely wonderful company. Thanks to everyone who made this Raid the best one I have been to.

And a big thanks goes out to everyone who put up with my ride leadership skills. I'm still in training, and I learned a lot this weekend!

Thanks so much to Peggy and Jim for hosting this event.  They certainly made it special and put in a lot of hard work and put up with a bunch of unruly scooter nuts.  Their help, along with rides, David killing a rattlesnake, swimming in the lake, viewing Jim's Harley collection, a hot tub on a fire engine, and a great electrical storm with 60-70 mph winds, all made for a memorable event.  Can it ever be topped?
