Mary's Peak Ride (Members Only)

Join us for a members only ride to the highest peak in the Coast range. 15 miles southwest of Corvallis.

We meet at Gator's Pub in Tigard with kickstands up at 9:15 AM. Our first stop will be to meet up with the OSC Valley Chapter in Salem. Kickstands are up at 10:30 from the Valley Chapter Meet up location.

We will stop in Philomath for lunch (at park for a BBQ or perhaps a resturant; look for details by Thrusday) and target reaching Mary's Peak at 1:00 PM.

The final 8 miles up Mary's Peak Rd. will involve steep twisting roads. It is not recommended for novice riders, or small displacement bikes.

I'll be leaving from Eugene at about 10 and meet you in Philomath. Your group shouldn't be too hard to find.

This message is a reply to Abigail -- sounds good. At the least, we could ride back together. I'd like to join the group if possible for the ride up. We can work out details as we get closer to the date, assuming that it works out for me to go that day. I'll pm you with some contact info for me.

This message is for Gini about riding home from the Marys Peak ride. I won't be camping either and live in Independence so I could join you for the ride home at least that far....I could also join you for the ride there if you want to meet me in Independence. Let me know

No problem, you can head for home that night. We are still firming up plans, so we will look at having some company on the ride home.

If I'm able to go on this ride, I wouldn't be staying for the camping. I'm wondering if it is possible to join the group for the ride up, and then return to Salem before nightfall. Don't know if the timing of the ride would work for that. And if anyone else is interested in going but not staying overnight, it would be great to have company for the ride back.
